EU−Ukraine Association Council
The third meeting of the EU−Ukraine Association Council will take place on Monday in Brussels. The meeting will be chaired by High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, on behalf of the European Union. Ukraine will be represented by its Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman. The Association Council will discuss relations between the EU and Ukraine, specifically on political dialogue and reform, political association; justice, freedom and security; economic and sectoral cooperation, as well as trade and trade-related matters. The EU high representative and Ukraine’s prime minister will also discuss more specific developments related to Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as the EU global strategy and regional issues.
- EU Environment Council
The EU’s Environment Council will gather in Brussels on Monday. Ministers from 28 EU countries will look at progress on the revision of the emission trading system (ETS). ETS is one of the main EU's tools to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and deliver on the EU's commitment under the Paris Agreement. The Council is expected to adopt conclusions on the protection of human health and the environment through the sound management of chemicals.
The NATO-Russia Council, which was conceived as a mechanism for consultation, consensus-building, cooperation, joint decision and joint action will meet on Monday in Brussels.
