Turkey privatizes Cine hydro plant

Demars Construction, Tourism and Trade‚Äč company won the tender for the privatization of the Cine hydropower plant, located on western Turkey's Aegean coast, with an installed capacity of 44.65 megawatts, at a cost of 86 million Turkish liras, Turkey's privatization administration announced Thursday in Ankara.

In total, three companies participated in the tender, and after bidding rounds, two companies proceeded to openning bid rounds.

A minimum bid offer limit was set at 50 thousand and an openning bid started at 81 million liras.

The Demars Construction, Tourism and Trade company won the tender with a final offer of 86 million liras for the hydro plant.

US$1 equals 3.42 Turkish liras, according to Turkey's Central Bank data.
