Turkey's LPG imports decrease by 0.66% in May
- Turkey's LPG exports decrease by 12.14 percent to 7 thousand tons in May, according to Energy Watchdog

Turkey's liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) imports decreased by 0.66 percent to 276.9 thousand tons in May compared to the same month last year, according to a report by Energy Marketing Regulatory Authority (EMRA) released on Wednesday.

Imports to Turkey came from several different countries in May including Algeria, Norway, the U.S., Kazakhstan, Russia and Ukraine.

Turkey's total LPG production increased by 19.51 percent to 101 thousand tons in May compared to the same month of 2016.

In addition, the country's LPG exports decreased by 12.14 percent to 7 thousand tons in May. Among the countries that imported the highest LPG volumes from Turkey were Tunisia, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Turkey's free zone, Switzerland and Egypt, the report shows.

Total sales of LPG hit 349.1 thousand tons including 263.1 thousand tons of auto gas, 71.5 thousand tons of bottled LPG and 14.5 thousand tons of bulk LPG.
