Norway produces 95.9% electricity from hydro in July
- Norway produced 10.6 terawatt-hours of electricity in July

Norway produced 95.9 percent of its electricity from hydro power in July, according to the Statistics Norway (SSB) on Tuesday.

The country produced 10.6 terawatt-hours (TWh) of electricity in July, out of which 7.7 TWh was consumed.

In addition to hydro power, the country produced 2.9 percent of its electricity from thermal power and 1.1 percent from wind power.

The largest consumption came without extraction of crude petroleum and natural gas or power-intensive manufacturing.

The Nordic country's electricity consumption increased by 2.6 percent in July 2017, compared to the same period last year. Electricity production also increased by 2.6 percent over the same period.
