Norway's revenues from gas, oil increase in April
- Oil price increase results in growth of Norway's revenues in April

Norway's revenues from crude oil exports increased by 30 percent in April, compared to the same month last year, Statistics Norway (SSB) announced on Tuesday.

SSB said that oil exports in April reached around $2.25 billion, an increase of 30 percent from the same month of 2016.

The statistics bureau asserted that because the volume of crude oil exports was approximately the same as April last year, the rise was due to the oil price increase.

The authority also noted that April saw an increase in natural gas exports, which amounted to around $1.68 billion.

"This corresponds to an increase of 11.5 per cent compared with April last year. Increases in both export volumes and prices lie behind the growth," SSB argued.
