The average electricity rate for one megawatt hour in the day ahead spot market for the week ending March 12 decreased by 2.52 percent to 144,75 Turkish liras compared to previous week ending March 5, according to Turkey's Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data on Sunday.
Last week the average electricity rate for one megawatt hour was calculated as 148.49 liras.
The highest electricity rate for one megawatt hour in the day ahead spot market for this week was 205.89 liras on Friday and the lowest was 57.02 liras on Sunday.
EXIST data for the trade volume in this week's electricity market totaled 320.2 million liras.
US$1 equals 3.73 Turkish liras, according to Turkey's Central Bank data.
